Hello! I am a teacher at an International School in Beijing, China. I am a lover of all the arts, from music and theatre to film. I am highly active and enjoy physical activity and sports as I played them majority of my life. I love to sing and was a part of a choir for most of my life as well. I am infatuated with history therefore love going to museums or just taking a stroll and engaging in the culture and environment around me. I love to travel and meet new people to share experiences, cultures, and lifestyles with.

I am very sarcastic and love a good laugh. I always try to see the best in every person and situation I find myself meeting. The world has so much to offer and traveling is a persons way to giving in to it all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am Couchsurfing because I am enjoyed my experiences couchsurfing while living abroad in Italy for teaching English at a high school and would love to see and explore all I can in the time I will be abroad here in China and the Far East part of the world. I cannot express enough my excitement to experience other countries culture, people, history, and learn their education system.

Interests

I love all and any sports, participating in or watching. I played soccer (football) for 14 years of my life and have a love for the sport. I enjoy getting caught up in my latest television series as well as reading a wonderful biography.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have attended the music festival Bonnaroo in Tennessee for many years as tradition with friends seeing artists like Sir Paul McCartney, Elton John, Disclosure, Artic Monkeys, and Sam Smith..
Also attended two YinYang Music Festivals on the Great Wall of China.
Seen the Calcio Historico Fiorentino in Firenze (Youtube it if you aren't familiar)...
Climed all different parts of the Great Wall of China and seen the Terra-cotta Warriors, TWICE! Since I've moved to China!
Competed in a drag show in Taiwan.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share insight in to life and culture within the US, specifically regional differences. I can also share educational differences between primary, secondary, and collegiate schools. I hope to learn and share as much as I can from Hosts because I believe in keeping the line of communication open so each party has a happy and healthy experience.

I also would love to meet people from each city i visit to show me around their beautiful area. I believe traveling is done best when seen through the eyes of a local or native to that town. Therefore I am not just looking for hosts but always someone to catch a bite or share a drink with!
