A small town Canadian girl caught in a constant state of wanderlust. I find any excuse to pack my bags and explore some place new. In the last few years, I've volunteered in Costa Rica, spent a year (2 semesters) traveling through Europe and spent wild three months backpacking and falling in love with South East Asia. My next adventures include a trip to Greece and Turkey and another in Tanzania and Eastern Africa. Now, just over a year into my first corporate job as a management consultant, I've quickly discovered I'm not yet ready to put my backpack and guidebooks away. I hope to continue exploring the world slowly and thoroughly, fulfilling my passions & meeting new people along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

What I find most rewarding about travel is to experience a town or a city as locals do - to drink, eat and live as I would if I were to live there. Learning new cultures and getting to know new people is why I find couchsurfing so appealing. I'm currently planning a solo 10 month trip and would love to make friends in new places.

Interests

I'm kind of obsessed with: anything outdoors, I love to climb things - anything, so hiking appeals to me. I'm a scuba diver and could spend an entire day in the ocean. I love photography but frankly wish I were better at it. I spend an obscene amount of time research anything travel related and I'm a ninja at finding cheap flights. Most importantly, I am a foodie - my perfect evening includes dinner with good food, great wine and even better company.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm all over the place when it comes to music preferences. My playlists range from country to rap to EDM - I like it all. My favourite books are "A House in the Sky" by Amanda Lindhout and "The Geography of Bliss" by Eric Weiner. As for movies, I'm basically married to my Netflix account and watch too many movies to pick a favourite.
