Overview
About Me
"About Me"s are terrible because it's like awkward speed dating but without anyone to respond to your nervous laughter and self deprecating jokes.
~ just got done studying abroad/doing a working holiday in Melbourne, Australia
~ originally hail from the US
~ going to be traveling through Southeast Asia from August to December, and keen to generally avoid the gross stereotypical backpacker-bro type adventure
~ very down for everything! calm cups of tea and lazy days to hikes and treks and muddy feet fun
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It's an alternative way of meeting people while traveling. It provides the opportunity to meet locals instead of fellow travelers, which provides a different perspective on the place you're in.
Interests
I'm a pretty laid back sort of person, which is code for I've never committed to anything long enough to have any true skills or hobbies. But I enjoy cooking for people, talking over a hot cup of anything, and aimless wandering.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'll listen to or watch anything anyone throws at me; I like expanding my horizons. I tend to read more nonfiction books with a politics or policy slant. Lately I've been trying to add more Caribbean, soul, and funk music into my library. Love a good TV marathon (currently Gilmore Girls and Rick and Morty for the millionth time). If you force me to watch a movie I'll be grateful for it, I'm just antsy for the first 45 minutes of it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I can eat a lot more than I look like I can eat.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to be able to cook with my host! Sharing recipes and eating a well-cooked meal is a great way to bond.
