Hey! I'm Chelsea =)

I write a travel-focused blog (www.LittleRedRoaming.com) and I run a youtube channel by the same name (Little Red Roaming) where I chat about my experiences!

I'm curious about everything. New music, new cities, new artists, new languages. My lifelong goal is to see every inch of this beautiful planet. (Aim high, right?) I want to make friends in all corners of the world!

I'm an avid bookworm, social butterfly, and lover of comfy socks =P I work six days a week as a Massage Therapist, and I absolutely love my work! On my downtime, I often go sing karaoke at a local dive bar, or binge on netflix while knitting various projects. I also write, draw, and paint. I have two totally awesome cockatiels (Antony and Caesar) that I took in as rescues a few years back. They are absolute darlings and I spoil them rotten!

I'm also fluent in puns and sarcasm.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Firstly, I believe in karma-you receive what you send out into the world. So while I'm currently unable to host, I hope to in the future. I love meeting new people as well as exploring. Couchsurfing seems like a great way to get oriented to a new place and really delve into the culture.

I spent two months backpacking europe in Spring 2016 and i found that couchsurfing really changed my experiences, mostly for the better! I haven't planned my next adventure yet, but i hope to meet more couchsurfers and hosts along the way. Cheers!

Interests

I love books and crafting and music. I listen to everything from metal to opera to modern pop, whatever catches my ear. I love going to local shows in Providence, RI. I attend burlesque shows very often as well as some artist showcases. I've even had the privilege of volunteering at these now and then! (the photo of me in the bodypaint was one such night)

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite authors include Michael Crichton, R.A. Salvatore, and Stephen King. They never disappoint with their literary genius!
For movies, I'm partial to action flicks, sci-fi, and the occasional period drama.
I absolutely adore Doctor Who and Firefly!

Music....I really just love music. Every genre has at least one artist that I enjoy =)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've rescued several animals over the years and I think that's one of the most amazing things a person can do. I've taken in rats, chickens, cats, and currently I have two adorable birds.

I drove the entire East coast of the US (from Massachusetts to Florida) and then back again.

I backpacked 10 countries in Europe in two months.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a massage therapist, and I love to share and answer questions about posture, stress points, and self-care techniques. I also knit and will readily teach you if you would like to learn!

I try my best to bring a smile to everyone I meet's face. I'm also a pretty decent cook!
