About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To finally become fluent in French...
ABOUT ME
I came to the Geneva area last year to be an au pair, and I liked it so much that I decided to stay and continue my studies in Geneva. So, I'm now working on a diplome program in French, and will possibly follow it up with a Masters program in French.
PHILOSOPHY
I guess I'm still working out my personal philosophy, but in general I try to be kind to everyone, even if I don't like or trust them, and I try to find joy in every thing I do. I don't want to go through life constantly unhappy and/or mistrustful of everyone and everything; however, I do use proper judgment to discern what things/people should or shouldn't be trusted. I used to be very pessimistic, but I'm trying to be an optimistic and hopeful person now.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I joined awhile ago, but have only used the site minimally, as I don't get the chance to travel very often and I can't offer a place to stay, as I live with a family.
Interests
I enjoy watching movies, discovering new music, reading, relaxing with friends, and procrastinating on the internet... :) I'm open to try anything I've never done before, which includes tasting every kind of food I'm offered here!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: any genre except for horror, but thrillers are fun. I usually watch romantic comedies and superhero movies.
Music: any genre except for excessive rap or American-style country; however, I prefer mellow music like Jack Johnson and Iron&Wine.
Books: Since I love reading, I'll read anything except for horror novels, as they give me nightmares!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Right now, the thing that touches me the most is when the kids I'm taking care of express genuine love for me. It amazes me that I can come into a child's life and in a short time, they are so trusting and truly want you to be a part of their lives. I think we can learn a lot from children and their way of viewing the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
Having studied English in school, I'm willing to discuss philosophical subjects and literature with anyone.
Right now, I'm working on my French language skills, and would like to work on additional languages in the future, so any help with language learning is always appreciated.
