About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To learn as much as possible!

ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Chelsea, I love travelling, and I love the experience of living. I'm energetic, friendly, sometimes quiet, happy, and very passionate about a lot of things (but in a good way). I like to listen and I love making the most out of situations. I also (like most people?) am constantly struggling with myself, and discovering who exactly I am.
Apparently I love everything! I think your experiences make your life yours; never discount them.

PHILOSOPHY

I am an individual, and I understand that everyone lives within their own reality. I tend to hold a very objective outlook on life, and like to observe and analyze things rationally and equanimously. I try to be my own determining motivation for my life - no one else is living my life, I don't let myself live for anyone else/act according to the opinions of others. I enjoy the philosophies of objectivism and compassion; I think that these things together can create peace :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ive never had any experiences through this network, but during my travels I have met many people whose charity and generosity helped me immensely. People who have been willing to open up their homes and their minds - the people you meet and the kindness they show is what makes travelling amazing.

Interests

I love music! Probably more than anything :) I've played the french horn for 10 yrs, but I've also picked up didge and guitar. There's no better medium for the mind. I love food, sailing, BIKES, animals, writing, and just being outside. I also really like engaging in long conversations about the evolution of consciousness and the future of energy forms, and the universe. I studied Neuroscience and Anthropology at UF, and think that studying the human brain/mind is the only way to truly understand everything that's available to human perception and experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love Ayn Rand, Jared Diamond, David Foster Wallace, bell hooks, any books that challenge opinions, give insight into human nature, and a lot of non-fiction.
Anything published by penguin is also a good bet :)
I like things with substance.

I love electronic soul, and acoustic singer/songwriter stuff

Teach, Learn, Share

:) i like this, this is the best part about couch surfing.
- you'll never know until you ask
- again, you cant judge anyone until you actually meet them; and you wont meet them until you speak to them
- it doesnt hurt (or cost anything) to smile, and it will make you and someone else feel better
- nothing anyone else does should be taken personally, ever
