About Me

Hi

I try to keep things light- almost nothing is so serious that you aren't able to laugh at it.

I'm into learning new things and experiencing things different than I've ever known, doing things that make me feel strong and proud and free, and and trying to work harder at hobbies before I give up on them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Locals hold all of the secrets. Be my friend! Show me cool shit! Hang out with me! Let me crash on your floor!

Interests

I like to take photos, build ceramics, hike/camp, backpack, kayak, rock climb, meet new people, and learn new things until I get bored (usually very quickly). Would like to get into long distance road cycling and mountaineering.

Who's gonna come stay with me in Seattle to try to summit Mount Rainier and let me tag along?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked the 2,650 miles from the U.S./Mexico Border to the U.S./Canada border in 2016. Best thing I've ever done !!

Teach, Learn, Share

This is the best thing about Couchsurfing and just traveling in general. We all have so much to learn and to teach each other. I've found that when we're traveling is when we're the most open to changing and growing as humans.

When hiking the Pacific Crest Trail, I was so happy to find that everyone had the same goal (to make it to Canada) and that everyone was on the same team. Everyone encourages and helps each other, and that's kind of how I think it's supposed to be in life. There isn't any competition, just a bunch of humans trying to find our way through life, helping other humans have a better day in the meantime, right??
