ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona, USA. In August, I left my world there to explore a much bigger one. I chose to study at Franklin College in Lugano, Switzerland because I love meeting new people and exploring new things. I have an adventurous spirit and a desire to explore all the world has to offer. I love sitting down and having conversations over a cup of coffee, listening to music, taking pictures, and enjoying the little things that often get overlooked in this big, big world.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed in London and in Paris and I absolutely love it! Such a great idea. Meeting new people has never been made easier :)

Books: I am actually obsessed with anything related to government, economics, etc. I find it fascinating. I have also fallen in love with Into the Wild, A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Kite Runner, A Long Way Gone, Three Cups of Tea and any other story that makes me truly appreciate life.

Music: Bob Dylan, The Beatles, John Mayer, Bright Eyes, Brett Dennon, Brian Benham, The Weepies, Sufjan Stevens, Bill Withers, Van Morrison - really though, I like it all.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The summer of 2006, I lived in Cuernavaca, Mexico for a month with a Spanish speaking host family. I didn't know the language, and I was completely alone. I came back from the trip speaking Spanish better than I ever could have imagined, and I learned more about myself, the world, and my place in the world than I ever thought possible. I saw some amazing things and met some amazing people. This trip sparked my passion for traveling and desire to understand the world around me.

My first week at school we went to Valley Verzasca to cliff jump into glacier water. I did it 5 times. :)
