ABOUT ME

these days i mostly concern myself with using closed swimming pools and stalking grand openings and art galleries for free wine. in the meantime i play my violin, write, ride my bike on sidewalks, pick up interesting trash, and get dramatic about the music/literature i love while spilling things on myself.
i would rather make up my own fun than buy fun from the usual places (clubs or whatever). but im easily entertained by frivolous things.
i love poetry, music, science, philosophy, and theoretical physics.
i can and will cook, can and will eat out of a dumpster, can and will a large variety of things at any time. (dig a ditch, paint furniture, drive a stick shift, flip a pancake).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i live in a big communal house where we have couchsurfers constantly. we show these people a real fine time. one of my roommates is an asheville couchsurfing ambassador which makes me feel real special.

movies: cohen brothers, kurosawa, jarmusch, magnolia, buffalo 66, american beauty. i really never ever watch movies. i only give them a chance if someone i trust thinks its going to change my life or something. thats mostly because i have a hard time finding ones i really love. but i WILL watch documentaries with almost no prodding.
books: everything is illuminated (i hate the movie, dont watch it!) ,e.e.cummings, message in the bottle by walker percy. i read a lot, though for better or for worse i am really difficult to impress, however constantly driven to read more more more.
music: jeff buckley, sonic youth, nina simone, outkast, doc watson, joanna newsom, the shins, led zeppelin, the rachels, gillian welch, silver mount zion, aesop rock, gnarls barkley, mia, johnny cash, modest mouse, dolly parton, mississippi john hurt.....so much stuff....so much good stuff
