About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel, garden, adventure, eat well.

ABOUT ME

I love to cook, dance, travel, yoga, meet new people, and speak Spanish. I enjoy creatures of all sorts, random adventures, hiking, canoeing, nordic skiing, and anything outdoors.

Travel Experience:
When I was 18 I took a year off to spend 2 months in Greece volunteering for a sea turtle project, study Italian in Italy for two months, and spend 4 months in Costa Rica volunteering for another sea turtle project, studying Spanish and volunteering for an eco-tourism project.
Returned to Costa Rica a year later to work as a summer group guide for students doing language and service learning projects.
Studied abroad in Spain for 4 months.
Interned at an Eco-lodge in Guatemala for 2 months.
Just hopped around while abroad and in between!

Plan on spending 6-10 months in New Zealand and Southeast Asia this coming fall! Can't wait!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is all about new experiences and having fun while you're at it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far I have only hosted and met people at social events or to show them the town but look forward to start surfing this fall in New Zealand and Southeast Asia!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted some really nice people and loved going to social events and out with folks who are excited to be traveling in my city! Can't wait to be on the other side.

Music, Movies, and Books

A little bit of everything from funk to classic rock to bluegrass and even a little country. Paul Simon might be my favorite. Best travel novel for me might be The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked the gorge of Samaria on Crete, Greece during my first solo trip at 18. It was phenomenal. Have had other amazing experiences and can't wait for more!

Teach, Learn, Share

The most basic principal of travel is keep an open mind and maintain a healthy curiosity that expands your knowledge and understanding while staying safe.
