Hello!
My name is Chelsie. I've lived my whole life in central Illinois in an area where the main industry is farming. I love traveling; when I was 12, I had the amazing experience of being a student ambassador to Australia through the People to People program. I have also been to Mexico and China. I love learning and teaching. I am a substitute teacher for a rural school district, and I have a teaching degree in Elementary Education and Middle School Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am planning a trip to Europe for a few years from now, and would love to get to know people in the areas I will be going to. It would be really nice to meet up with people that I meet on here or maybe even stay with them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done is be a teacher. I love my students and helping them understand concepts that they find difficult. I also love sharing my life experiences with them.

I try to be extremely respectful of people of all cultures and backgrounds. I also adjust easily to different environments. I would love to learn about anything my host is willing to share with me and share anything that my host would like to learn.
