About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Experiencing and spreading joy and happiness

ABOUT ME

The references I got from guests, hosts, and fellow travellers here on CS are the best description about me I can offer you.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is FABULOUS :D
Happiness is a potential within everyone of us. Believe in yourself & enjoy the little things in life, for example having an ice-cold beer with good friends on the balcony or even better next to the river/lake/sea in summertime.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

CS enabled me to get to know highly likeable locals from several trips I undertook e.g. in Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Belgium, and Greece. So far, I myself hosted people from Japan, Belarus, Iran, Germany, Denmark, Spain, the USA, Czech Republic, and Algeria.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Without any exception all experiences with CS have been a blast!!

Interests

My areas of interest are numerous!! Be it chemistry, musicals, languages, cosmology, psychology, food, travel, photography, music, engineering or philosophy. My curiosity evokes an inexhaustible thirst for knowledge.

Favorite movies: Eternal Sunshine of the spotless Mind, La Verite, It's a wonderful Life, Troy, Kill Bill, V for Vendetta, Matrix Trilogy, Bourne Trilogy, old Jackie Chan movies, Inception, Shutter Island

Favorite series: I mainly watch various kinds of documentaries, be it about the origins of the universe or about... the history of Austria; I'm curious about so many things! As for series, my favs are: That 70s Show, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, Man vs. Wild

Favorite music genres: pretty much accross-the-board, e.g. (Deep) House, (Funk/Alternative) Rock, Hip-Hop, R&B, Greek modern folk music (bouzoukia), Greek old folk music (rebetiko), Greek traditional music (paradosiaka), Arabic music, Brazilian music.. it all depends on my mood and time of the year :)

Favorite books: Books about psychology, philosophy, and science; to name some authors: Osho, Krishnamurti, Plato, Stephen Hawking, Brian Greene, George Orwell

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of the most spectacular things I've experienced?
-> The sea.
I can spend hours lying on the beach and watching the movement of the waves. Especially while having an ice-cold coffee-frappé and jolly people around.

Another incredible thing is the tremendous politeness of some people I met and all of my CS hosts. Some even gave me their key on the first day of my arrival. Just think of it for a moment: You have never seen sb. before, he may even not have a single reference on CS, yet you smile, trust, and give him the key of your apartment.

But the most fascinating thing I experience is life itself. It blows my mind every single day.

I'll happily share facts and stories from my extensive treasure trove of experience and knowledge with you.
