About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To continue being a citizen of the world.
ABOUT ME
Just a student with diverse interests that probably change every once in a while - languages, photography, traveling (as is everyone else on CS), and the list goes on. As of May 2011, an unofficial university graduate who is looking at spending the entire of June 2011 backpacking Southeast Asia. Do drop me a line too if you're doing the same!
Spontaneity is good - life's boring otherwise, if we stuck by those same old rules in the book. Always on the move because stagnating puts me to sleep. If you want someone who will go cycling or wandering the streets at night at the very last minute, look no further!
Traveling and photography are two other huge interests of mine, but of course, dependent on funds and time available. Would love to visit every continent at least once. Basically, I wish I could wander from country to country and live life there the way the locals do. Basically, a nomadic life sounds good!
Oh and I'm a pescetarian too (though mostly vegetarian) ;)

Went for my first CS gathering with other CSers from Singapore on the 11th April, 2009.
Hosted Ole (from Stuttgart, Germany) for the night of the 12th of April, 2009, and it was an interesting first experience. It was also nice too, when he came back to Singapore again a year plus later, for an exchange semester!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not exactly something people will consider 'amazing', but it was definitely memorable:
Living in the mountains (quite literally) in Nan, in the north of Thailand for about 3 weeks, during an expedition trip there to teach English and IT to the children in the village, and to give and set up some computers for them. It was a really refreshing and memorable experience, and it didn't matter that we were cut off from the outside world. We had nights without electricity/lights every other night, and on those that we had, there would probably be no water coming out from the taps. It was much more fulfilling than the usual 'city life' we were used to.
It really touched our hearts to see our students refusing to leave us after the English camp, and one thing I still remember was that they sacrificed their lunch break and rode (on a motorbike) to the second school we were teaching at, just to see us. I can really say it was love and concern across different cultures, even though we were only with them for such a short period of time, and we didn't exactly speak much Thai.
