Hi! I'm Alice (Chen Fan), from Wuhan, China. I’m currently working as an foreign affairs assistant in AI governance in at the Institute for AI International Governance of Tsinghua University (I-AIIG). I live in Beijing.

I’m truly passionate about international communication and exploring different cultures. I began learning Spanish as a hobby in 2016. I completed my master’s degree in Health Science and Sociology at Tsinghua University, graduating in June 2024.

I have a wide range of hobbies that keep me both entertained and active, including watching TV shows, reading, playing billiards, surfing, rugby, swimming, photography, ice skating, people-watching and house-watching (not a curtain-twitcher, I promise—I just have a keen interest in interior design and sociology), ballroom dancing, karaoke, and more.

In terms of personality, I’d describe myself as polite, respectful, and a bit shy at first (though if we hit it off straight away, you wouldn’t think so! My friends often don’t believe I’m actually an introvert). I’m rather nerdy (you might expect), inquisitive, open-minded, adaptable, and curious, with a strong interest in learning about people and their perspectives.
