Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For quite a long time I've been really alone. I have met few people and I have been to few places. I have a strong desire to meet people and witness the variety of the world.
I believe when people meet, amazing things will happen. Together we can exchange not only ideas, but also experiences and plans, which will make both of our minds more interesting.

Interests

I love almost all kinds of dramas, from Shakespeare to traditional Chinese Opera. I enjoy not only watching them but also reading and adapting the scripts of them. Literature works are also my favorite. I am especially fascinated by Haruki Murakami. History and psychology are also my interests, but up to now I only have a basic knowledge of both subjects and I am trying to learn more.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am fascinated by Jazz music, and I am now doing some research on it to know more.
I am not interested in most pop music.
As for movies, I always enjoy watching them and I am eager to learn more about them. I am a fan of Quentin Tarantino. I appreciate The Hateful Eight most but watching Kill Bill and Inglorious Bastards brings me most joy.
Books have been a part of my life since I was a little kid. I love fictions and poems and I have tried to read them in both Chinese and English.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

With I in command me and my friends adapted a traditional Chinese Opera into a play. I acted as the chief director and scriptwriter of it.
I spent a whole day in Tokyo on my own, traveling from the Tokyo Tower to Odaiba (I don't speak Japanese and that was one of the days of my first trip abroad).
When I was 15 I travelled to Xi'an and spent 6 days there alone, which was a totally strange city for me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak fluent English and Chinese is my mother tongue. So I believe I can be a good Chinese teacher for English speaking people. I am learning history, psychology and swimming. I would be happy if someone can give me guidance in any of them.
