Overview
About Me
Hi, I'm Liande. Just quit my job as an architect to do a 135 Days Grand Tour in the Netherlands, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, France, Spain and UK. I hope to get to know more about different cultures and lifestyles.
While in the Netherlands, I've found out something very important yet. First I thought that people wanted to high five with me when they ride a bike. However, they just indicate to turn right.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to interact with locals! And if possible, exchange ideas about architecture. In my opinion, architecture is like a container that provides people to have their own lifestyle. I hope to become an architect who contributes to society. .
• Create your own unique postcards
I will hold as many as possible activities on couchsurfing in every country I travel to meet new friends and teach any of you how to draw your own postcards. You can follow me on Instagram:

Had only positive experience on Couchsurfing
- Having a great time playing badminton with Pin and his friends in Rotterdam.
- Ronald designed a biking route from Rotterdam to Delft where I found a cloud-capped church called Nieuwekerk and wonderful countryside views. He also took us to secret garden that only a few people know.
- To be continued:)
Interests
I love to paint. During my current trip, I'm making a hundred hand-painted postcards about all the beautiful things I get to see, to give away to my parents, friends and teachers.
Furthermore I like to exercise - mostly table tennis, volleyball and biking, but as well badminton, tennis, golf and surfing. I once spent three months learning to swim butterfly by myself. Yes I did.
Everybody has his weaknesses. I enjoy watching the fish in an aquarium.

Music, Movies, and Books
I listen to classical music. I play guitar and the cute ukulele myself and want to learn how to play the violin without driving my girlfriend crazy. For what it's worth: I once won a singing contest in University.
I like to read books about philosophy (美的覺醒). I hope that my hand-painted travelling diaries will be published once and that somebody wants to collect my perspectives on architecture into a book. It's ok to dream.
Since I think architecture is kind of an art too, here are my favorite architects: Renzo Piano, Andou Tadao(安藤忠雄), Hsieh Ying-Chun(謝英俊), Ban Shigeru(坂 茂), Norman Robert Foster and Ieoh Ming Pei (貝律銘).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I turned my living room into a studio from demolition to interior decoration within a week, without swearing or cutting a finger.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to paint, want to learn more about every local culture and love to share the Taiwanese culture and my travelling experiences.
What I Can Share with Hosts
At home, I've made a hundred hand painted postcards about Taiwan, to give away to the people I meet when travelling in Europe.
My parents run a food business. I kind of know how it works, so I can make you an original Taiwanese dinner.
