ABOUT ME

All about me...let's see...I'm 37 and live in Florida. I have no children, but I do have a boyfriend, 3 chickens, 2 dogs and 1 African Grey. I also have 2 elderly parents that are my priority. I love to travel and always have some trip in the works, even if it's just to Orlando to visit the mouse. Family and friends are very important to me along with respect. It's a concept many don't get. I also strongly believe in fairness and honesty.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in karma. What you put out, you get in return. I strive to be fair, honest, loyal and respectful to all until someone proves they don't deserve it or that I need to watch my back. Life is all about experiencing everything you can and the interaction with others. I believe in past lives so I think you run into people you've shared lives with before to expand your relationship or to work something out.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with one host in London and it was a mixed bag as far as the experience. I really hope most hosts out there are much more conscientious of their guests. If you're curious about it, shoot me a message. And I know I'm not in the most popular of destinations, but please come visit! LOL

Interests

Travel and history are the 2 biggies. I'm also a photographer and take pictures of everything I possibly can. I love nature and walking through parks. NASCAR and the NFL are my favorite sports. Sundays are usually spent with the parents watching one or both of these events. I also write fiction.

Music, Movies, and Books

Some favorite movies are Dirty Dancing, all Harry Potter, all Pirates of the Caribbean, most Disney movies, most Bogart movies, any movies with Johnny Depp and Jason Isaacs. As for music, I have a pretty diverse collection. Classical and jazz to 60's to 80's to country. And I'm very interested in lyrics; 60's is my favorite time for poignant lyrics. I like reading, though I will admit I don't do as much as I'd like. Anything about history I like along with anything spiritual or metaphysical. Conversations with God and Atlas Shrugged ranks at the top.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done/seen quite a few things I thought were amazing. Standing on the very top of the Eiffel Tower to gaze at Paris, approaching the Colisseum in awe, riding the gondola in Venice, the Blue Ridge mountains, the Space Needle, flying into Las Vegas at night, waking up to snow in Raleigh for the first time....but I know there are SO many more out there!!

Teach, Learn, Share

Honestly, I don't know what I could teach someone. I don't consider myself skilled enough in anything to 'teach'. However, I am constantly encouraging people to live every day as if it's their last. I encourage everyone to be as independent as possible because you learn so much about yourself. I tend to think differently towards most situations and enjoy pointing out to others how to do the same.
