ABOUT ME

I was born in the beautiful city of St-Petersburg, studied physics as an undergrad, then did mathematical biology and bioinformatics in London and Oxford. Now I live in Switzerland and work in a maps team at Google. I have lots of amazing friends who are doing fascinating things, from researching grammars to building rockets whom I met in the internets and while travelling. I still need to visit about 140 countries and territories. My friends would say I am very helpful when they are in need, and I am reserved and busy with my own stuff when everything is going well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am very lazy, so in order to keep myself disciplined, I travel. I've been to 97 countries and always amazed to discover ways of life everywhere.
I am a couch (computer desk) potato, so in order to keep fit, I run. I've run marathons in the Alps and in some weird places.
I could get very bored very easily. To prevent this from happening, I find a new challenge at work every day, and do a little bit of crazy things for leisure.
