Overview
About Me
Hello travellers! My co-op house and I are migrating over to Workaway for hosting purposes. If you are on Workaway, please find us here: https://www.workaway.info/522848536937-en.html
Worried that I may be a serial killer? See references here, and also from my previous house: https://www.workaway.info/951624575459-en.html
My housemates and I get a mountain of couchsurfing requests every day, and as much as we'd love to host, we can't accommodate everyone. Brownie points if you are interested in sharing your knowledge and expertise (whatever that may be) and hanging out, and not just looking for a free place to leave your stuff.
CURRENT MISSION
GROW ALL THE THINGS!
ABOUT ME
I was born and raised in Tokyo, Japan. After Godzilla destroyed my house one too many times, I set off for Ithaca NY to seek my fortune. During my third year at school, I wound up on the South Pacific island of Samoa, and learned how to roast a pig, among other very important life lessons. My first few post-graduate years were spent in existential crisis mode working as a guesthouse manager, horror novella translator, and rogue English teacher back in Tokyo. Having gotten that out of the way, I am currently in Seattle, where I live with three full-grown rabbits, three chickens, a fluctuating number of baby bunnies and ducklings, and three humans.
PHILOSOPHY
Play life on hard mode.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love to learn from people we host - phrases in new languages, cooking, ways of life, new bad movies I hadn't previously been subjected to...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Since we have a guest space in our house, my housemates and I constantly have couchsurfers and travellers staying over while they explore Seattle! We've cooked meals together, explored the neighboring farmers markets, and gotten into all manner of shenanigans.
