I spent 56 days hiking Washington, Oregon, California and Colorado last summer and fell in love with it enough to put in for retirement from teaching this year. Feel like everything is in your life for a reason and season and I can't start the next season. My husband likes going on motorcycle trips, riding his bicycle and spending his time with both our girls and of course his wonderful wife:) We have had several exchange students over the years and that opened us up to this experience. We recently got together with the one we had 15 years ago. Love that kid! Anyway we are open minded and can't wait to open our home to this new adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I am retiring at 55 I would like to meet new people on my travels and do it in expensively so thought I would try this. My husband will still be working and wants to call my retiring a sabbatical (which it isn't) so while I am here in Kansas and not traveling I would love to fill my soul with new friends and fun stories.

Interests

Traveling, Hiking, trying new foods, meeting people. My husband rides motorcycles and bicycles. Family first and we enjoy both our girls and are fortune they live in the same town for now. Actually one will be moving back in as her sorority doesn't let the seniors live in the house.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: "Tales of a female Nomad", Movies: "Big Chill", Music: "Eric Clapton". I truly am open to a lot of different music, movies and books.
