About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To have as much fun as possible whilst learning everything I can about this crazy world we live in!

ABOUT ME

This was always something that I wanted to do, I felt like I was walking in a bubble at home, not seeing or learning anything new. So, here I am, and I am loving every single second of it!
I love to laugh, I´m trying to not worry so much about what people think of me. I want to be able to speak Spanish and dance salsa but I get too scared to try! I like crazy nights out and quiet nights in. Show me your local food and drink please?! I´m very easy going, I´m happy with my own company but love to meet new people too. I like to talk, but I can be quiet too! It´s the little things that make me laugh and love. My excitement at being here, and experiencing all of this is not fading! I´m challenging myself, I am very, very happy!
People at home think that I am being brave traveling the world on my own - I think I am having the best time ever!

PHILOSOPHY

Without sounding like a walking cliché I suppose it would be to treat people as you´d like to be treated. To make as many meaningful connections with people as possible and to eat, drink, laugh and love!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As I don't have a couch to offer I am limited to how I can participate. However, I sing the praises of CouchSurfing to anyone who will listen so hopefully will have recruited some new members along the way!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

During my travels I´ve met so many different and wonderful people who have all had positive experiences couchsurfing, I've been to the CouchSurfing social meetings in the past. Everyone was so friendly, and nice and helpful that it confirmed to me what a great thing CouchSurfing is!

Interests

I´m interested in everything this world has to show me!
But I love music, art - I love graffiti, and film, and books, and food (and the occasional drink or two!) dancing (after the drink or two!), terrible TV and films about vampires.
In England I worked with homeless men who are excluded from services for violent and dangerous behaviour, so I like to learn about the politics, healthcare, and services in different countries.
I like to tell people that I run, the truth is I like to talk about going running tomorrow. But in England I did actually run a half marathon

I've recently been teaching English in 4 government schools in the jungle in Thailand. I loved it, so much. I want to study properly to become a teacher - so then I can keep travelling and working at the same time!!

Oh and I love facts. Did you know that bats always exit a cave to the left?!

Music, Movies, and Books

I couldn´t possibly list all of my music, but if you looked at my Ipod you will find everything. A lot of reggae, electronica, music to run to (!) and some Best of the 80´s hidden with the power ballads.
Can I list my favourite films? Yes. The Lost Boys, Cinema Paradiso, Predator, (secretly all of the Fast and Furious films), Wild at Heart, Harvey and anything that makes me laugh.
Books? Anything. I love to read. One of the best things about traveling is swapping a book for one you have never heard of and loving it so much you write home about it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The whole past year has been the most amazing thing I have done, and I have seen the most incredible things ever. But... I was the first person to sign the visitors book at Graceland in the year 2000!

Oh, and Christian Slater kissed me on the cheek once.

(I know technically that´s two, but they were both amazing and I couldn´t choose between them!)
