About Me

Fun and crazy person. Very straightforward. Love drinking tea and alcohol, wearing hats and collect rubber ducks. Sleeping goddess by day. Bartender by night. Occasionally like posing professionally in front of the camera. Gave the rights of my hair to a salon so they can do whatever they want for hair competitions and experiments.

Born and raise in Singapore, i left the country in 2012 and moved to Perth, Australia for studies and work. And moved back in early 2015. Being stuck in the stagnant world where you wake up, go to work, go back home, and the repeated cycle for a year, i decide to save up and travel long term, solo.

It started in 2016. I was ready for my adventure, but afraid of course, so I started out small. I took a month off work and did a little tour around Asia for a month, in January. I covered Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Australia. In April, I happen to have a couple of days off work on the weekend and a mate from Australia was visiting as well, so I went up to Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia for a couple of days just to hang out and look around.

Back to work. I was pretty sure I was ready to conquer the world. Saved up for 2 months. Got on a 1 way flight to NYC, drove 8hrs to Canada and back from Pennsylvania and NY State, book a 1 way flight to UK. Was suppose to head back on the start of October but had a change in plans and ended up cancelling my flight from London to Singapore and changed it to Munich for the last day of Oktoberfest, and train to Stuttgart and Dusseldorf and Amsterdam. Then finally back to Singapore. The whole trip took 4.5 months from June to October. I can't even explain how and what exactly happen. It was like a dream.

Of course the travels didn't stop there. I was back in business, I got travelling out of my mind. Ready to focus on my bartending career. I was very lucky to be selected as a guest bartender together with a few fellow industry friends, to do a couple of shifts in Ho Chi Minh, Bangkok and Macau. Also got the opportunity to represent Singapore for a world cocktail championship competition held in Phuket, and came in 6th!

Back to work, new position, new challenges, new focus. A few more upcoming trips I suppose. Hoping to travel with someone this time.

Pretty lengthy profile but very interesting. I believe :D

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I only really started travelling in 2015, at the age of 25. Did some road trips in Western Australia before I moved back to Singapore. Since then, i've travelled to quite a number of places in my life. Learnt a lot. Shared a lot. All through this amazing site. I've been very blessed to meet the most amazing and beautiful people around the world. Now that my travel journey has come to a halt. Im just want to repay the favours and bring it forward. Hopefully through meeting me, it will change someone else's life for the better!
