ABOUT ME
Hey! I got starting Couchsurfing when I lived in Spain for two years, but now I'm back in be-yoo-tiful North Carolina doin' my thing. In general I spend my time making music, teaching Spanish, and trying to be a good friend and human being. I miss having travelers coming through my city and apartment all the time, so I'm headed to Europe for a while to explore places I haven't seen, meet people I haven't met, and reconnect with the CS community.
Can't wait to hear your story, can't wait to learn everything I didn't even know I didn't know!
PHILOSOPHY
I hope that we can enjoy each others' company even though the only information you'll have about me is that self-description freaks me out.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted a lot of wonderful folks in Spain, surfed a bit in Europe with some pretty amazing people, and am unfortunately not living in a place where I can put you up, but hope to be soon!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Mostly incredibly positive!
Interests
The magical things that happen naturally, bodies of water, riding a bike, human beings as individuals and communities, sounds, music, ceramics, running around, being outside, listening to old people, speaking other languages, learning how to feed myself.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is the best and I love listening to it being played by people who truly love what they are creating. I love a lot of stuff a lot but lately it's been Yasmin Hamdan, The Everly Brothers, Paul Simon, Ali Farka Toure, and always Radiohead. A lot of my friends play bluegrass-y acoustic-y stuff so I am learning to love that, too.
Let's trade music! Bring your flashdrive and we'll make a party of it!
I'm also very open to book suggestions, I'm still learning how to read.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
In the fourth grade, this boy in my class who had been in a wheelchair his entire life just stood up one day. Right in the middle of class! Then in the fifth grade he beat me on the mile run, no joke.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am learning different instruments and I'd love to teach you what I've learned! I've also got a bunch of musician friends and they would love to play for you.
Let me take a portrait of you that you can carry forever!
We can also cook together, of course. Empanadas can happen, fried chicken can happen, wacky vegetarian things can happen.
