About Me

I'd help you navigate this city, come up with 'decent' recommendations. I always enjoy meeting new people and seeing new places. Everyone teaches you something new owing to how separate but universal our experiences are.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet people from different cultures. It helps refine my perception of the World and my place in it. I'd like to meet the locals and share stories and maybe skills and interests. To experience the goodness in the world. The goodness of a host opening up their home to me, someone looking up from their book to give me directions, someone saying “here, I’m walking that way, you can walk with me”. Doing similar things in return. To give, for all of it to circle back to me.
Also, people on CS seem much more experienced at “viva la vida” and I could use that being a terrible introvert.

Interests

Pop- culture lol ! Hiking, camping, music, bicycling, reading, dancing, yoga, fitness, studying, meeting new people and trying new things (because it scares me). I like to attempt bodyweight exercises and embarrass myself. I form instant bond with the pets I meet at the sidewalk and miss them later. I want to visit the National Parks and see most of this beautiful continent.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- umm, it varies but I enjoy Majid Jordan, dvsn, sade, those 24/7 hifi hop beats on youtube, nature sounds really, and hahah the dark side of youtube wherein you have the “525hz mental energizer tones to kill viruses and provide peace”
Movies- Hahha, I like aspirational ones the most, the protagonist is an underdog, does something, blah blah montage of suffering, things turn around, becomes uber successful; I once got an amazing educational opportunity by quoting “Legally Blonde” so I always acknowledge it.
Books- HP, LOTR,

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Adopting my Cat. I feel raising my cat is the pinnacle of my selflessness. I found it as a stray kitten with a broken leg stuck on the side of the road, took it to the hosp, cared, nursed, Pet-motherhood in short.

Teach, Learn, Share

Hmmm. Let’s see. I’m no expert, but I can help you navigate Hinduism, Vedic spirituality, geography, excel sheets, shahee paneer, curating a 90s playlist.
I can use some learning in how to relax- i’m an indulgent overthinker and meeting people/new places puts me in the present- so it serves as therapy.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A culture of sharing has always existed, from the earliest tribal times, and at CS- it is a good thing. I like to take care of people around me. I make an effort to listen and be a positive entity to be around . If I do not know the route, I’ll find it out for you. I aspire to perform and deeply appreciate random acts of kindness. I can respect someone inviting me in their home and in that I would be entering a particular phase/snapshot of their life. If the days of my visit coincide with the happy days of your life, I’d celebrate with you. And if the days coincide with the crummiest work week, I’d be placid, brew you some tea and help.
Agreeability is my strength.
