About Me

Just a Californian who loves building community! I'm most often in the Central Coast (halfway between San Francisco and Los Angeles), but due to some great friends' suggestions, came to Couchsurfing to meet all the wonderful souls the world has to offer.

I love having good conversation (from solar energy to the best Daft Punk track to survival in a zombie apocalypse to the importance of teamwork, and anything inbetween!), the outdoors, dancing, playing and watching football (NOT American football, the real one), coffee, reading, and more.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My biggest goal on Couchsurfing is to weave my life's thread with that of other like-minded (and unlike too!) people to mutually enrich all of our times here on this Earth. In the grand scheme of things, we're but a blink of a star, so why not have a good time, share laughs, and bring joy!

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC
I'm all over the place - Pop, House, Disco, Electronic, Country, Hip-Hop, Funk, Classical, anything upbeat that you can dance to, really! If I had to pick just a handful of musicians as a representation of myself, I'd say - Jackson 5, Chromeo, Diana Ross and the Supremes, Phoenix, and whatever you think is the most overplayed person on the radio!

FILM / TV
Inception, Drive, The Notebook, Zoolander, The Departed, Blade Runner (both of them), Ocean's Eleven, Interstellar, Fight Club, Lord of the Rings, most any comedy, science fiction, or rom-com.
Don't watch as much TV, but I do enjoy shows about cuisine (Anthony Bourdain, Chef's Table, Cooked), some historical pieces (Peaky Blinders, Band of Brothers), and the all time greatest show ever: Scrubs.

BOOKS
Stranger in a Strange Land, The Tipping Point, Dune, The Next Hundred Years, Anathem, Harry Potter series, The Diamond Age, The Stars My Destination, Hyperion.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For the past 5 years, I've organized an event with some friends - it's a winter holiday bar crawl, where everyone gets together to drink and be merry, but all the profits goes towards buying toys for children in need. The attendees have a fun-filled Saturday, and we end up donating around a thousand dollars each year in presents to kids who may not have gotten something otherwise!

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH
Cooking! I love cooking, and even more so with others
Handyman skills - My father taught me how to do everything needed to build a house, except for plumbing.

LEARN
Fine woodworking - I have a couple of projects I've done, but have a long way to go.
Preservation techniques - curing, canning, pickling, smoking, I'm interested in all of it!
Permaculture - so interested in natural cycles and how to use them to make a more abundant world for all of us!

SHARE
Dancing - its the most fun you can have, doesn't matter if you're a Russian ballerina or a 5 year old with two left feet, just having fun is most important!
Hiking - going out and being in nature is the best
Conversation - I'm fairly well versed in a random assortment of tidbits, and love to discuss about anything!

What I Can Share with Hosts

My own place to stay if you're ever in California, trying to connect you with other people I know if there's any way I can help use my network to help you out!

I would love to make a meal for you (and whoever else) or cover the check when you show me one of your favorite spots to eat and / or drink! Breaking bread with another is such a timeless way of building new bonds!

Countries I’ve Visited

England, Mexico, Spain, Wales
