About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live. Learn. Share. Experience

ABOUT ME

I would say that I really am an easy going and open minded dude.
I'm definitely keen on discovering new places and getting to know new people.
As i wrote, I am a social worker. Consequently I do work with kids even though I strongly consider myself as someone who is still stuck in his childhood : i really do love having a laugh and playing all the time, also I pretty much can not be serious for more than five minutes (if I am not working).
I really appreciate having a laugh (who doesn't ?!) and I am pretty much always joking.

PHILOSOPHY

Each one teach one !
Everyone has something to share or to learn to/from each one.
To me there should not be any military service but there should be a mandatory "TRAVELING SERVICE" : everyone aged 18 in the world would have to go living in an other country (that they would not necessarily chose) to experience one year living and learning a new culture, language... This system would definitely contribute to broaden everyone's mind and give more faith and trust into each others.

Also I strongly think that gaming, pleasure and laughter should be considered as the center of everything in life. That way everything would be easier and way more interesting !

Finally, back when i was in an australian festival I saw a sentence written on a blackboard saying "LIVE LEARN EXPERIENCE SHARE". This instantly became my personal motto and I've decided to apply it myself whenever I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I did surf few times back when I was backpacking in Australia which was definitely a real good time.
It made me want to be able to host people as well as a payback for people who helped and hosted me back there. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to host people because I do not have a flat at the moment.
I am going to go on an European mobility system to Dublin soon (October 2013). Therefore I do want to meet people there so they can show me around and meet new people as well !
Of course I would be really glad to give back to the community, once I am settled there by helping people discovering the city and giving them some useful tips and advices.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As I wrote I did experience the CouchSurfing system in Australia.
That was an amazingly rich life experience and I am still able to remember all the people I've met there.
Therefore my friends and I had the opportunity to share some moments not only with locals, but with a lot of travelers who were couchsurfing as well.
It also gave us the occasion to see all kind of family structures : students, couples with and without children, divorced women...
To sum my experience up I would say that even though we did not get along that much with some people that hosted us, it was definitely to be considered as a really nice time for all of us.
I am definitely looking forward to have my own flat back in Bordeaux to be able to host some travelers myself, and create new meetings and adventures !

Interests

- PLAYING games with my friends (video games, board games, card games, any type of games actually !)
- HIKING (forest/moutain) and RIDING my bike : i definitely feel that non-mechanic sports are the best to me and I really love to go for a walk or a ride as well.
- HANGING out with my friends
- SPENDING time with my family and my lovely cat as well !
- HAVING fun with anyone !

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been backpacking around Australia and New Zealand as well back in 2009.
Mostly we've been driving our car through a large part of both countries and we've been hiking for 6 months.
That was truly a very rich and beautiful experience : we got to admire the most awesome and breathtaking sceneries, observe some endemic and majestic animals, meet people from the whole world and discover new culture and share ours.
This trip definitely made me want to go experience living elsewhere and going back into a huge road trip as well.

Teach, Learn, Share

I do know a lot of games as i mentioned it before.
I also know how to type really fast on a keyboard (who knows it might be useful to someone at some point!).

I'm trying to learn how to use software such as : Premiere Pro, Photoshop...

I'm interested in learning : ANYTHING ! Even stuff that would not really come to my mind at first. I'm willing to experience anything I can, provided that my teachers are patient/fun enough !
