Overview
About Me
I am a student from sunny Singapore, currently braving the cold in Canada, Toronto for one international exchange semester in Ryerson University. I study communications, and my interest lies in storytelling, representations and the "different truths" each person/culture possesses. I enjoy hearing stories, though I'm not too sure if I am a good storyteller myself. I love exchanging ideas and allowing conversations to take a philosophical turn, though my introversion may limit that a little (no hard feelings!)
I might seem rather soft-spoken, but bring me on an adventure and that might change. Hiking, camping, bungee jumping, climbing rooftops, getting tossed around in a roller coaster or zipping through a flying fox? YES.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I joined a friend for couchsurfing once and it has changed the way I see travelling (and by extension, the world). I'm here to understand the culture, nature and identity of each place I visit. When I am able to, I'll definitely be paying it forward :)

Anime - Your Lie in April, Steins;Gate, Sword Art Online
TV Shows - currently keeping up with The Umbrella Academy, I do watch korean shows from time to time but I feel like they don't charm me anymore, yikes
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I learnt how to ride a bicycle on my own at age 9 (if I remember correctly) which cost a day and one majestic fall. No one knew I even did it, not even my cousin whose bike I "borrowed".
Teach, Learn, Share
During my junior college days I thoroughly enjoyed teaching cellular biology. So I guess I can teach you more about your self. Singing techniques and vocal exercises are possible too. I am super passionate about human rights, Christianity and essentially what life can mean. I especially enjoy discussing about whether middle grounds exist for potentially controversial issues and I'd love to share my views (and hear yours too!)
I am interested to know more about sustainable practices so if you have any tips please do share them with me. If you choreograph, teaching me one of your pieces would be awesome!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Cleanliness! It is my calling to do dishes, sweep floors and wipe surfaces. I'd definitely love to share stories and opinions. Food is a definite if I have any, as well as tissues from various places.
