About Me
The road's been calling my name for years and all the excuses fell away so I quit my job and here I am! While I got a degree in chemistry I discovered my true passion is knowledge itself, so my quest of self education continues at every turn. I'm great with kids, animals and plants. I enjoy hunting for street art and strange books, people watching and sky gazing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveling is supposed to be an exposure to new ideas: new ways of living. I want to meet real people, get local suggestions and swap stories. I'm not interested in the washed out version of places that "vacation" often entails. Nor can I afford to live in the excess that many travelers might. What's the point of traveling if you don't meet people along the way?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I quit my job to travel because I was tired of all the excuses not to.
Teach, Learn, Share
While in France I am focused on improving my French and would be grateful for any help in this area. Learning new skills is always on my to do list, so teach me anything!! I know my way around a kitchen and can teach you to make some cheap american eats! I also make a stellar paper airplane and am always looking for new apprentices.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a fan of words and love engaging conversations with people. My listening skills take front and center if you're interested in them. I'm also a decent cook (potstickers by hand), will happily alphabetize any collection you have upon request, plant and animal whisperer.
