About Me
Hello everyone! My name is Chi. Currently, I’m living in Hanoi. I love traveling, seeing the world with an open mind. I love traveling because from this, I can gain new perspectives, get to know myself better and learn a lot more about the world as well! I think I’m just really curious and excited about the world!
I am easy going, even though I can be a little shy at first. I love making new friends with other travelers, who see the world as their oysters like I do.
I especially love exploring the cuisine of foreign countries that I visit. I always look up on the internet and find the favorite spots by the locals, eat the foods that the locals love whenever I travel to somwhere. I like getting to know the culture, the people and the place/ country through their foods because I think that what we eat are not just foods but also our culture; how we prepare our meals, what we eat and how we eat speaks a lot about our history, lifestyle as well as philosophy in life. The cuisine is our soul at core. Because of that thinking, I hope that by meeting or even better, staying with a local while traveling, I can get the “local wisdom” on what. where, how and when to eat.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’d be so typical if I say to find a host, haha. But that’s just my first thought. My second thought is to make friends and expand or take my traveling experience to another level.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
"The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams”. So. Perhaps I don't have a significant life or have done anything note worthy, but I do live the life that I imagine myself in. That's pretty amazing to me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I’d be willing to share whatever I have within my knowledge, other than that, I don’t think I’m anywhere near a guru or professor to teach. I’m glad to share with you my personal fav spots, or frequent go-tos in my city if you come to my country. Feel free to ask me about anything if you ever find yourself lost or clueless about my hometown, Hanoi.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My culture, I guess. That's basically my basic “asset” to start with! But moreover, I’d love to talk and share with you my humble travelling experiences/knowledges about countries that I’ve been to. By sharing stories, I hope that we’ll get to know each others a little bit more, learn more about the world that we are living in and give both parties the benefit of doubt in this elusive life, just like traveling has helped me realizing so far.
Countries I’ve Visited
Cambodia, China, Cuba, India, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Viet Nam
