About Me

I'm currently studying in Paris, trying to improve my French and to integrate into the French culture. I want to meet interesting people around the world, and share the amazing stories!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've met people from different countries through Couchsurfing when I was living in England a few years ago. At that time, I didn't have a chance to host anybody, but I made quite a few friends on the website. Now I live with two Taiwanese students, and we are eager to meet couchsurfers from different countries. As a foreigner in France, I also would like to know people who live in Paris, and hang out together.

CS is not a dating website.
I know there are some problems on Couchsurfing, but I still manage to meet many nice and polite people. I guess it's everyone's duty to preserve and improve this platform.

Interests

I study English literature so I enjoy reading and going to the theater and cinema. I also get hooked to cooking after I moved to France (since Taiwanese people don't cook in Taiwan, eating out is so cheap and tasty!). And I love to go to restaurants and cafés (the genuine Taiwanese spirit! ha). Yet, I I care about animals' right, so I usually don't eat meat. (but I don't over-react when I see delicious meaty cuisine...)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like old stuff that doesn't belong to my generation.

Movies: La nouvelle vague in France, world cinema, Alfred Hitchcock, documentaries...
Music: Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Serge Gainsbourg...
Books: too many... I got to think about this list for quite a long while...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The touching one:
When I was in England, I helped a disabled lady who had MS as a volunteer. I wouldn't say that I have sacrificed to help her. It was a unique experience and I also learned a lot from her.

The crazy one:
I've slept in the open field just with my jackets and clothes on during the summer solstice festival in Stonehenge without being frozen to death... Don't go there during summer solstice!!

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Czech Republic, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, United States, Vatican City State, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

France, Taiwan, United Kingdom
