I'm a sister, a daughter, a (hopefully) good friend, a student and I am part of a cultural association (Palermo Youth Centre) in my amazing town: Palermo. There I love to keep in contact and know young writers, actors, artists in general and to give them, in the association, a space to express themselves and their passion. I was this summer co-organizer of a theathral show about migrants and from three years I'm also part of the organization of Palermo Gay Pride Parade and Village. In the last two years, I also started to be active part in the migrants' hospitality process; always with my association we help hospitality centre; basically we trust on a society of integration, of solidariety in which borders don't have need to exist. Brotherhood and equality are two of the main words that in my opinion should run the world. I love animals, everyone, no exceptions and no favourites. I've been also a volunteer for cats and dogs shelters!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There are two main reasons why I choose to try Couchserfing: first of all because sometimes during my journeys it happened to meet people and be kindly hosted or to host unknown people that I met in Palermo randomly. So I've already couchserfed (can I say so?) without the website; but actually everytime I did it I just arrived in a city without really know where to stay, but never alone. Now I want to start travel on my own, so I think it is better to be prepared, at least a little bit! The second one is that, I'm really annoying person (in a good way, at least I hope) I cannot stop doing things and meet new people, I think is the main activity of my life, Couchserfing will be another possibility to do it in different Countries!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music and Films are the two main loves of my life. As far as concern music, I'm quite open minded, I listen to different kinds depending on my daily mood. In this period I'm particular interested about psychedelic rock and blues. But I love folk music, balkan music and also electronic one, expecially sperimental sounds (like Nicolas Jaar). But my first big love was and always will be Fabrizio De André, an italian songwriter, who was not just a musician but a poet. He influenced my growth on a social and political sides in a deep deep way. About films I'm just an apprentice, i'm trying to watch as much as I can and understand what I like the most! Between my favourite films there are, for sure, Mr. Nobody (directed by Jaco Van Dormael); 3-Iron (directed by Kim Ki-duk); Swissman Army (directed by Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert) and Il Sorpasso (directed by Dino Risi). I'm still improving my cinema's knoledge, sorry!
