Overview
About Me
Hello everybody! I'm Chiara, a 22 yo girl based in Venice (Italy). I was born in Sicily, a beautiful island in the south of Italy, but I moved to the north to start studying Japanese language, culture and society at Ca' Foscari University of Venice. I can define myself as a talkative, friendly, hard-working person with a lot of hobbies (sometimes I find difficult to cultivate them). I'm also very open-minded and LGBTQIA+ friendly. Unfortunately I can't host people because I live in a very little apartment in Venice and I don't have any space. But I can keep you company during your stay in this lovely city and hang out with you around, suggest good places to visit and things to do or eat (I love cooking and people say that I'm very good at it. If I can, I will cook or offer you some delicious Italian dishes!). For further information about me, just write! :)

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Spanish and Japanese literature in particular and my favourite authors are Camilo José Cela (I LOVE "La familia de Pascual Duarte"), Federico García Lorca, Edogawa Ranpo (I'm writing my final dissertation about two of his short stories, if you know or have any materials, would you share it with me? I want to know more about Kirino Natsuo too, seems interesting), Natsume Sōseki and Tayama Katai. I also do like Albert Camus and I think "La Peste" and "Caligula" are two of my favourite pieces ever. I can't forget to say that I love video games, Spanish cinema and I have a huge music knowledge.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Five years ago I did Camino de Santiago and I walked through the north of Spain for an entire month. That was amazing! I met a lot of people from all around the world and I saw beautiful places and cities. (I am not a religious person, I just did it for the experience, but as I wrote before, I'm an open-minded person and I can talk about any religion with any people).
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm an easy-learner and one of the reasons why I decided to join Couchsurfing is the will to know as much as possible from every person I will get to meet anywhere. Always respecting each other.
