About Me
Hey guys!:)
My name is Chiara and I'm 20 years old. I started couchsurfing last year while I worked as an AuPair in New York and I loved the experience of meeting new people and making friends. Now I am back home in Germany again and I hope to continue traveling with the couch surf-community.
I can nearly socialize with anybody. Hearing the stories from people all over the world is one of the most interesting things I could imagine. No matter how old someone is or where they are from: I want to learn about people. Once they start telling me stories of their life, I can sit down and listen to them the entire day and night :D the other way around I also love telling people something about my life. I'm also very easy going and able to adapt to almost any situation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To be honest - I might have been a bit sceptic about couchsurfing in the beginning. But after the first time meeting a fellow surfer, I was convinced it is the coolest way to travel and experience new places. I still don't have enough space to host people myself. But I know that once that is the case, I will be happy to host people and hear about their stories. I am looking forward to giving something back to the community!

Music, Movies, and Books
I basically listen to all kinds of music. But recently there's a lot of country and classic rock in my playlist. AC/DC is most likely part of my day, 80s music as well as musical numbers. But also some recent top 100 hits are great to listen to.
I've watched quite a bunch of movies and it's hard to say which one is my favorite. I grew up with Disney movies and I still love them quite a lot. One of my favorites is a movie I watched for the first time with one of my CS hosts - Good Will Hunting. Some others are: Forest Gump, Saving Private Ryan, Grease, Harry Potter, American Sniper, Copenhagen, Django Unchained, James Bond, Marvel movies in general. Oh and I also really love a good show on TV - I am a big fan of Gossip Girl (cliche, I know) and friends.
As a high school student I definitely spent more time reading than I do now - unfortunately. But also here are some favorites: The Lovely Bones, Romeo and Juliet, Harry Potter, Carrie.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Making the decision to live in the USA for a year and do all this on my own was an amazing thing in my eyes. I learned a lot about myself, changed my perspective on things and also became aware of what I really want in life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think we all can learn something from each other. I can help you improving your German, teach you about our culture and also how to play the guitar. Also I can just share a great conversation with you and spend a great time whatever we decide to do.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can tell you a lot about the German culture and even teach you a bit of our language. Furthermore I'm a (hobby) musician so if you love music as much as I do, I am sure that we could have a funny jam session!
