Ciao! I'm Chiara, nice to meet you.

I'm a curious person who loves sharing experiences with nice people (who doesn't?) and engaging in new adventures.
I'm lucky with my job, 'cause I'm always in contact with people from all over the world: I'm a teacher of Italian as a Second language and also work for a nonprofit organization which carries on social projects towards refugees and immigrants.
I spend my free time in very different ways, from walking up to the top of a mountain with friends to reading immersed in the bath tub with a glass of wine by my side.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've travelled a bit during my life and would like to do more.

I like travelling solo, but it's great to find new friends on the way.
I'd like to offer the same posibility and experience to other travellers, so well... my sofa bed is right here for you!

Interests

Like hiking and trekking, and I've just become a Guide.
I'm an active person, even if don't practice any specific sport; I recently fell in love with kayaking and dragon boat :-) On the other hand, I'm feeding my artistic side by attending tango and choir classes (I'm a beginner, I'm afraid I'll always be...)
Love to shop a thrift store everywhere I go.
Also really interested in social issues such as immigration.

Of course I love eating&cooking & drinking& travelling and speaking foreign languages.

Music, Movies, and Books

Love stories and novels.
I like watching independent movies in original languages, be it english spanish korean farsi or any other.
About music, I mostly listen to the radio especially when driving (and singing at the top of my voice...)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nothing really stunning, but...
Premise: I'm not a dancer, I just had some ballet classes when I was a kid. Some years ago, I took part in a casting for dancers to be employed in a Summer Festival in Dubai. And guess what? They hired me! I then preferred to spend that holiday volunteering with kids in Kenya, that was much an adventure in any case. Dubai is still waiting for me :)

Teach, Learn, Share

As I work full time, I usually don't have much free time to show you around. Still, I do appreciate to share a good dinner at home or at a good place.
Guests will be welcome to my flat in Milan, as well as to my house in the mountain, expecially over weekends whenever possible :)
