ABOUT ME

I grew up in a small Italian town called Sanremo, studied in a small town (with a big reputation) called Pisa and am now teaching Italian in Marseille. As you can probably imagine, I have a bad case of itchy feet and cannot wait to discover the world, to start a new life in a new city and to go couchsurfing in places with names I don't know how to pronounce.
I think my world-view depends on the day...sometimes I can be cynical, on other days optimistic, but I always want to learn more about the world.
Another thing you should know about me is that I love the sea...I grew up next to it, spent a lot of time in it and miss it so much when I'm away. You can probably tell something about my character from the fact that I never go swimming without goggles though - I'm far too afraid of jellyfish...

PHILOSOPHY

My friends say I live in an "acquarium" because I don't understand paperwork and don't know how to pack a suitcase. That doesn't mean I'm detached from the material world though - I give a lot of importance to things like good food, don't read books if they smell old etc. I guess you could probably call me a confused Epicurean :)
