Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couchsurfing for me is a great way to travel with a budget and at the same time to get to know people, locals or not, and share a bit of your stories and cultures. It is an amazing device for the adventurous traveller!
Recently I have also started to use it as a socialising and as a learning tool (for example for meeting people for language exchanges).
I also love to host people, although at the moment I don't really have a place of my own.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started to use Couchsurfing in summer 2012. Since then I have surfed a few times, in different European countries (Portugal, Spain, UK, Italy...) and recently I have also started to host some people here in Milan.

Interests

Theatre and stage design, photography, drawing, music, travelling, reading, cinema, vegetarian cooking, cycling, natural construction and building...
I love learning new languages and about new cultures, as well as seeing as many places as I can, in a continue evolution of your mind.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Rock, new wave, dark wave, psychedelic rock, psychobilly, reggae, rebetiko, fado, taranta, balkan, world music especially with live unusual instruments, and much more (as long as it has a minor chord in it).
Movies: Peter Greenaway, David Lynch, Pedro Almodovar, Hayao Miyazaki, Stanley Kubrick...
Books: 1984 by Orwell, In Patagonia by Chatwin, The neverending story by Ende, Immortality by Kundera, Rayuela by Cortazar, Ficciones by Borges, Trainspotting by Welsh, etc etc

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wwoofing in the portuguese summer - the first travel on my own - and then getting overwhelmed by musicians and jugglers in the Ferrara Buskers Festival...

Teach, Learn, Share

I could teach languages - italian, chilean spanish and scottish english - and I would like to learn languages - any, always open!
I would also like to learn about cultures and histories from all over...
