My mother is Italian and I have never even been to Italy. So I decided I want to go and visit. I want to learn the language and roam the land.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met soul- mates, adopted grandparents and life-long friends in the US because of this website. Couchsurfing is the future.

Interests

I love good food, good beer, good wine and good people to share it with.

I'm trying to find that balance between working as little as I can but still having enough money to see some of the world and watch bands.

I love to get out and about cycling, camping and hiking. Nothing beats camping in the hills with your mates, a fire and a guitar.

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSICA MUSICA MUSICA

I love heavy stuff- mostly hard rock, stoner, doom and black metal but I listen to a lot of psychedelic, punk, hardcore, electronica, folk and other experimental stuff. I LOVE 70'S ROCK.

I would love to get to know individual punk, metal and rock scenes. Recently went on a road trip through the US. We listened to our favourite American bands like Melvins, Jesus Lizard, Slint, Shellac, Dino Jr, Earth, Floor, Sleater Kinney, Neutral Milk Hotel, Mastodon, Minutemen, ZZ Top and Harvey Milk and watched a few of them too. We stopped off at each city to check out the local music scenes. It was incredible. I loved the metal scene in Seattle and the punk scene in Memphis.

I am looking for others who love music like me. I would also like to discover to some Italian music- opera, rock, folk, whatever. If it's got passion I can get into it.

BOOKS
I love reading and I like books that make me think. My fave authors are politico-social orators like Huxley, Orwell and Hemingway. On my road trip across America read lots of Bukowski, Steinbeck and Kerouac.

For my Italian trip I have packed Hesse's Steppenwolf and Primo Levi. I'm going to find myself man.

MOVIES

I would love to watch some great Italian films. My favourite film in Cinema Paradiso for sure.

I also love music documentaries, such as We Jam Econo (Minutemen), The Band That Would Be King (Half Japanese), that KARP documentary, A Band Called Death.
