About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Share new experiences with new friends, and improve my climbing and Spanish.

ABOUT ME

I quit my job in London for a career break last year. After spending the winter in France I was meant to go back...but decided to travel Europe instead...and now I am onto South America. I have no idea what the future is going to bring me, at the moment the world is open and I am completely free.

I love to meet new people and beleive the best way to experience new places is getting to know the people that live there. I would love to rock clımb in as many countıres as possıble, any climbers out there! I like being active and spendıng my tıme outdoors.

One of my favourite things to do is cook a meal and share it with friends so I would be more than happy to cook for any host I meet along the way.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that we are all here to experience and grow as human beings. Always treat others as you would want to be treated, if everyone acted this way the world would be a better place.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have met the most amazing people couch surfing so far on my journey, all the hosts that have welcomed me into their home have been so kind and generous, and I enjoy meeting people and seeing how everyone lives and contibutes to the world.

When I a settled back in London my couch will be there for the taking.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The couch surfing philosophy attracts the kindest people, every host I have had so far has been so generous to let me into their home and their lives. Every person I meet adds a new experience to my life.

Interests

I love the outdoors and I love to rock climb. I have my climbing kit with me so any climbers out there would love to go for a climb in your home country.

My other major love in life is food and cooking, I could spend hours and a supermarket in a foreign country just looking at all the amazing things to eat. One of the best things in the world is to prepare a big meal and share it with friends.

And of course music, I love experiencing the nightlife of a new city or town and dancing the night away when the mood takes me.

Music, Movies, and Books

Shantaram is an amazing book, I have read it twice. Music, I am a fan of music from the 90s mailing because that is when I was growing up, now I listen to everything from Daft Punk to Florence and the Machine to the Beatles. I never watch TV and haven't seen a movie in a while, but I avoid Hollywood romantic comedies like the plague, I like smaller budget art house films.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done alot of things in life. Probably the thing that changed me the most was my time in Uganda. I worked as a volunteer in rural Ugranda for 9 months in my early 20´s. It was the toughest thing I have ever had to do, but what I took out of it is irreplaceable. Working in quite an isolated area and with minimal support I tought children of up to 100 in 1 class health education mainly focused around STDs and HIV. I also spent alot of time with the young girls developing thier sense of self and empowerment which was one of the most rewarding jobs. The isolation and working as a female in a very rural place was difficult, but the end result of my work made it worth it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to improve my rock climbing as I travel and think that going for a climb is a great way to see a new country and get to know the people.

I would love to learn Spanish, I have started studying but am not very good, but would be happy to exchange English lessons for some Spanish ones!

My friends have been known to copy quite a few of my recipes and I love to share time in the kitchen with people.

I can fire twirl as well, but it has been about 5 years....
