Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've met some great friends through Couchsurfing while living temporarily in London Ontario and Hamilton. I've couchsurfed through most of my Euro travels and had mostly great experiences. I've settled back into my hometown of Toronto and am looking forward to hosting some short-term guests in the near future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first trip that was based on couchsurfing was to Scandinavia in 2012 and it was a great experience! Since then I have stayed with a few hosts and CS friends in Germany, Denmark, and the Netherlands.

Interests

Food and nutrition (though not a good cook as you might expect!), swimming, water polo, cycling, cuddly cats, music, reading, travel, ice hockey, gardening, camping, exploring new places, going to the beach, trying new food, being outdoors...

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is a big part of my life but it's impossible to write an exhaustive list of my favourite groups/genres because they can change from day to day - from hip hop to classical, from The Tragically Hip to Outkast! I always find my 'to read' list growing faster than I can keep up with! I love historical fiction and mind twisting genres like Atwood's dystopian novels. Favourites include Rohinton Mistry, Victor Hugo, Michael Ondaatje, Frank McCourt, Margaret Atwood, Mitch Albom, Michael Pollan, Trevanian, Khaled Hosseini, Wally Lamb, Ian McEwan, ETC.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went skydiving in Taupo, New Zealand! I could see the ocean, mountains, and Lake Taupo below.
