About Me
Homo sum, humani nihil a me alienum puto.
I am human, and I think nothing human is alien to me.
Forgive me if I start with a showy quote, but I can't really think of anything better to introduce myself. I truly am an average guy, born and raised in Rome, which I love and consider my home. I studied Philosophy at the University and I'm currently working in a bookshop although my dream is to become a writer. For what concern the rest, well let's hang out so you guys can find out by yourselves ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I simply love meeting people from different cultures, listening to their stories, exchanging points of view. I know sometimes it can be hard to understand each other, like mindset clashing or some habits that may seem awkward at first, but that's just one more reason to dig in, a chance to expand our perspective.
Interests
I'm an easy going guy and I enjoy hanging out, showing people around my town, have a glass of wine or a stroll in a park, just like everyone else.
I also like Philosophy, History and Arts in general. One of the reasons I love Rome so much is because there's plenty of that stuff here!
I few words, I'd say I'm interested in everything that's beautiful, and I'm so lucky for Beauty can be found everywhere:
"Beauty is truth, truth beauty,—that is all
Ye know on earth, and all ye need to know."

Music, Movies, and Books
Have so many! Hard to sum it all up... but I'll try:
Songs: Where the streets have no name; Saint Cecilia; Quello che non c'è.
Movies: 2001: A Space Odyssey; Paterson; La Dolce Vita.
Books: The Stranger, On the Road, Heart of Darkness.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
During a trip to Ireland with a friend, we took a ferry for Innishmore. Didin't realize the bad weather was coming until it was too late, but it turned out an exciting adventure, exploring the island under the rain and in the mud. Getting on top of a cliff where the ruins of an ancient temple rested, in an atmosphere of another world. How I long for that day...
Teach, Learn, Share
The first thing they teach you at any Philosophy class is that you never stop to learn. There's always something new to think about, to discover, to understand better, it can be disorienting but also very exciting.
I can gladly share what I know about Philosophy, I can gladly teach Italian, and I'm eager to know about what others have to share.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As I said, I'm pretty easy going, also quiet and respectful. I keep my house very tidy, and I do the same everywhere I go. It's not really for to me to say it, but I can offer a good company, and a sincere ear, for what is worth :)
