About Me

Born and raised in the Philippines. Lived in the Kuwait and in other South East Asian countries for 2 years. Moved to US in Sep 2016. Been to 33 states since.

Multipotentialite, Jack-of-All-Trades, Renaissance Woman, Polymath, physicians will probably diagnose me with ADD. I am a person with a wide array of passions but doesn't have OR have not yet found her one true calling. I am a registered nurse by formal education but I am a photographer, a technician, a financial advisor, an artist, a dancer, an event planner, a sales person, and more. I am currently pursuing ux design and web development for the purpose of eventually building my own social enterprise.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I'm a 90s kid and a karaoke junkie just like most Filipinos. So my go-to music remains to be BoyzIIMen, Whitney Houston, Neyo, Janet Jackson, Goo Goo Dolls, Spice Girls, etc. I also lived in a typical Filipino home where different generations live in the same house, so songs from The Beatles to Aerosmith to Frozen are staples in our house.

Movies: I love inspirational movies, based on true stories are my faves. I also love musicals (Can't help it. I'm Filipino!). I don't enjoy going to theaters though. I like being able to pause and rewind scenes as I research references on my phone.

Books: I prefer listening to audiobooks and podcasts. Ever since I learned about Libby/Overdrive, not a day passes without me listening to an audiobook. I love self-help books and non-fiction. My recent favorites: Goodbye Things by Fumio Sasaki
The Happiness Advantage by Shawn Achor
Deep Work by Cal Newport
Abundance by Peter Diamandis

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Applied for and chosen as a delegate to represent my country at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit 2016 held in Stanford University. Obama and Zuckerberg were some of the speakers.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach Tagalog and how to wear 17 layers of tops and 15 layers of bottoms to not pay extra bag for a flight. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

My cleaning and organizing skills. Seriously, if you need cleaning or organizing in your house, office, digital files, etc. let me know. If I'm not busy, I'd love to help. Cleaning and organizing are therapeutic for me. I'm seriously considering getting a professional organizer certification.

I also like to fix anything that is fixable (clothes, furniture, appliances, gadgets, etc.) As part of my goal to reduce my carbon footprint, I try to extend the lives of things as long as possible. Thus, I'm big on recycling, thrifting, and fixing.
