Overview
About Me
Haven't updated this part in like several years. Hopefully it still describes me!
CURRENT MISSION
Reverse the Krakensphere while still holding down my job
ABOUT ME
Can't I get someone else to fill out this part for me?
Ok, so everyone describes themselves as laid-back, but this works because everyone is laid-back, at least in some sense of the term. Some people don't worry about small things, some people don't worry about big things, some people don't give a shit if you shit on their rug, but others just like staying in rather than going out partying. I guess I can be neurotic, and stressed about stupid things, but I'd like to think I'm pretty laid back as a host. You can, you know, like, use my shampoo without asking or whatever.
PHILOSOPHY
I'll fill this part out later.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I surfed all over Europe, but now that I'm in a "house" that's "stationary" I figure it's time to pay it forward. I'm really looking forward to it, actually.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
During the 2010-2011 academic year, I was an English teacher in the town of Valence, France. Even though I didn't make much money, thanks to couchsurfing I was able to travel all over Europe, and meet amazing people when I was at it. I would love it if one of them ever wanted to surf with me in San Francisco. That would be pretty amazing, actually. DO YOU HEAR THIS PEOPLE I SURFED WITH COME SURF WITH ME.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Harmony Korine, David Lynch, Werner Herzog, Errol Morris, Whit Stillman, James L Brooks, Richard Linklater, "Mumblecore", Cinéma vérité...
Music: Don't listen to much music. Really like: My Bloody Valentine, Belle & Sebastian, Magnetic Fields, Of Montreal, Camera Obscura. I also like going to free jazz concerts, but I rarely listen to jazz on my own.
Books: David Foster Wallace, Tao Lin, Ludwig Wittgenstein. I would probably like anything that is either funny or scary, I think.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Fucking travelling around Europe with CS, dude.
Also one time I hitchiked to the baltic coast from berlin and slept on the beach in an old person's town and got rained on and took shelter in a bathroom and then hitched back to berlin and went to the zoo. And by amazing I mean stupid, I guess.

I can teach you how to juggle! Or about certain specific aspects of history of philosophy. Or English or French! Or how to optimize your website for search engines. I also know a few jokes.
