To host interesting people and expose our daughter to as many different types of people and ideas as possible.

ABOUT ME

Well I am married to the most wonderful woman in the world and we have a phenomenal daughter. I am an artist and my wife works at a non profit environmental museum, between the two of us we have carved out a pretty mellow and fruitful life in a small town in Maine. Our typical night is spent having a family sit down meal and then being together until our daughter goes to bed. I am a stay at home dad so I am around all of the time so I get to experience every minute of my daughter's life and I love it. We have good senses of humor and love to meet new people and we are super accepting of all lifestyles. Perrin and I were big travelers before our daughter was born and have slowed down since but soon I think the travel bug will bite again.

PHILOSOPHY

I am accepting of all kinds, though I have trouble with stupidity and small mindedness.

We have both been travelers and hosts so we have met lots of people from around the world, we have dreams of someday owning a hostel like the ones that we have stayed in all over the world. I am a reduction woodcut printmaker, I also dabble in lots of other mediums but printing is my main pursuit. I am also a bit of a couch potato but I am not complaining, though if asked my wife may say otherwise. I enjoy movies and books as well as video games and music though the list of my interests is too long to type all of them. I find that I can find something to talk about with anyone as long as they are nice. Perrin is passionate about educating people about the environment, specifically the abundant life in the worlds oceans. Perrin is also a stained glass hobbyist as well as a stupendous mother. Mia digs everything and everyone but not necessarily in that order and not every day. It is tough being 5!

Perrin and I are both summer campers and have something like 45 years of camp experience between the both of us. The experience that I want to share is when I proposed to Perrin at the final campfire under the guise of giving the "Maintenance Award", Perrin was so surprised and the 250+ people cheered us on as I wept my way through the proposal. She said yes of course. Another breath stopper for me was when my daughter was born, I can't describe how amazing the experience was but I can say that I get misted up every time I think about it. It is hard to beat those two but Perrin and I have lived a rich life with many experiences between the two of us and look forward to many more.
