I was born in Chico CA in '66, and, after trying out Ohio, Michigan, and Oklahoma moved back to the same town I was born in to be near my family. I am the oldest of 9 children, became a nurse so I would always be employable. I run my own business now so I can set a schedule that allows me to travel. I am married and have 3 kids, all grown. Travel is difficult for my husband so I most often travel alone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel and my heart grows anxious when I stay in one place too long. Wanderlust could be my middle name and while I appreciate the tourist side of travel, I am really interested in the intimate side of people and communities throughout the world.

Interests

I love to ski, and watch ski videos, and check the forecast for snow, and ski! To maintain leg strength and agility when skiing is not an option I hike, backpack, go to yoga and dance like no one is watching.
After a day skiing I love to find or create that special dish, a meal which cannot be replicated, that flavor that is intoxicating, which can only then exsist as a memory which will last a lifetime. It doesn't happen very often, but when it does it is worth the search!

drive the 100 mile white rim trail in canyonlands national park, camping, hiking, finding and parking under the lone cottonwood tree in the heat of the day and diving in the ice cold green river.
