About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make every door you walk through a living work of art.

ABOUT ME

He-he-hey!

As you can see, my name is Nicole and I am a 23 year old gal from Sweden.
To describe me very quickly but still that much to give a hint about who I am, let's start with the beginning. Born and raised in Malmö area in the south of Sweden. But as an ambitious 18 year old I left home to fulfill my dreams of being a journalist and a weddingplanner (I KNOW what you think, but that job must ROCK! I do love food and music).
I put up with it for one year - let's say I HAD ENOUGH of school.

I moved to Norway and after that I just wanted more. Switching jobs and educations like underwear, I decided to go on a bike trip from Sweden to India. Unfortunately my foot didn't agree so I ended up in Mexico and traveled down to Brazil where my FANTASTIC trip ended. I tried working again, but then again - I had enough and went to Morocco to surf, travel and eat.

Now I have been working for 3 months and have finally decided to go back to school and finish my journalism studies so that I can go out in the world and keep traveling as much as I want and work as little as possible. Life is too valuable and too short to waste it working with something that you hate and get stuck in the same place.
Why not spend your time all around the world, doing the things you love and see the beautiful planet we live on before it's too late?

That is TOTALLY my mission in life.

So my future plans are still my bike trip to India, traveling around Asia for 6 months, cross the sea to Australia and New Zealand and from there to South America (again, but it is an amazing continet!!!).

If you do agree with anything ore just share the love for traveling and meeting people, you are welcome to stay at my place or meet up for a good time.

I am a really funny, crazy, loving, confused, skeptical, always happy (too happy?), looking for answers kind of girl who LOVES to meet new people, sharing what I have and don't have, laugh until the wee hours, eat cheap but amazing street food, trying out new things, get lost in cities in countries I don't speak the language, helping people and animals in need, living in hostels with wicked strangers, work (I am such a hypocrite) and spend 24 hours on busses or trains and actually enjoy it.

Have you ever had the feeling of being lost at home and feeling home when lost?
Eureka! Then we can be friends.

Just text me if you want to meet up, wherever you are in the world.

Peace!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met so many people through couchsurfing and they have become like family. I can honestly say - I love them and respect them. They are so cool for letting new people into their lifes and sharing what they've got. Couchsurfing - there is no better way to meet people.

Interests

I love new challenges. I want to try everything. When I was young I went horseriding, played football and tennis. We lived outside the village, so I grew up on a farm sort of.I think I must say that nature and animals are my absolute favorite things on earth. I love to be fascinated by Mother earth and it's power to make me speechless everytime. The world is full of beauty and I love beauty. And ofcourse, as everybody else, I love music, travel, writing and plan events. And also, learing language, Samba, Salsa, cooking, meeting new people (I met those kind of people who fascinated me so much that they made me cry...).

Music, Movies, and Books

I pretty much like most music. But not synth or heavy metal. OH NO! I like old Swedish music, country, some electro, pop and old classics. But I am really open to know all kind of music. Movies totally depends on my mood. But my all time favorite movies are "Into the wild" and "Slumdog Millionaire"
I LOVE movies based on true stories that gives me a perspective and opens up all my senses. Movies with people overcoming obstacles. Stories worth telling.
A really good one is Desert Flower.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Norway for 2 year. We were out fishing when we suddenly saw whales swimming by. It was amazing. Breathtaking!
And at the same place, I climbed up on this little mountain and just sat there for hours. Beautiful view, silence and just my own thoughts. To me - that's pure happiness.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have studied one year of journalism and one year of event management. I would gladly share all the things I have learned or tell what it was like.
I have also worked a little on newspapers and television (behind the scenes so to speak) which was quite an experience. Hard work, but fun.
I have also moved a lot and like to start all over again all the time.

I would love to listen to people, see their work, their interests and learn more about their culture and personal philosophy :)
