About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Relax and enjoy some scenery.

ABOUT ME

I tend to be on the quiet side, not as much when with close friends. I like fun people and have a great sense of humor. I think it is best to look on the lighter side of things. To contradict what I just wrote, I would say I am fairly serious. Life has many interesting aspects waiting to be explored and I want to be able to pay attention to them in order to appreciate them.

PHILOSOPHY

To be able to smile and know that your life is good, purposeful, that is what I aim for.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I donated some cash. I have met super people traveling. I could be hosting more people soon.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfed in Vienna for a week. This is what has hooked me on meeting locals and getting an inside look at the world. I have also had excellent experiences in Slovakia. I offered a couch to an Australian guy who was trying to hitch out of the south end of town a few years ago. When I woke, he had washed all the dishes! I gave him a ride to Mesa Verde and got a postcard from Lake Louise BC a few weeks later. The experience was gratifying.

Interests

Traveling(obviously), photography, hiking, camping, reading, telemark skiing, snowboarding, reading, eating tasty food, art, philosophy, exercise.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I ran the Imogene Pass Run in Sept 2005. I never thought I could do it, but I did. Next year´s race can´t come soon enough! One other amazing thing I have done is spend a month in Japan. It was difficult to save the money for this trip. I savor the experience daily and am inspired to get out more as a result.
