About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

I'm 29, I love to travel, I started a company called Woodies where I make and sell bamboo watches and sunglasses. I love to stay active, I also love a cold beer on a warm day. I love getting into crazy conversations about ideas that are probably impossible. I do everything I can to stay positive, and I usually don't get along with complainers, so I try not to complain myself.

PHILOSOPHY

Bored people are boring
-what my mom used to tell me
So now I strive not to be a boring person

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Doing my best to bring joy and harmony to my hosts home. I hope to learn as much as possible about the host and their experiences. There are so many stories to take in

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't completed an official CouchSurf yet, I've been staying over 200 nights a year on Airbnb

Interests

I'm into fitness, sing karaoke, play basketball, read about Bitcoin, read books, and play chess. Traveling is my favorite thing, the people you meet end up being more important than the places you go. I'm grateful for every chance I get to explore a new location

Music, Movies, and Books

Catch Me If You Can is my favorite movie, along with Dumb and Dumber and A Few Good Men

Kid Cudi, Kanye, John Legend, Aloe Blacc are some of my favorite musical artists right now

I read everything from Seth Godin, Malcolm Gladwell, and Tim Ferriss. Recently I've been reading fiction, I just finished Flowers for Algernon and really enjoyed it

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wandered into a crowded square on a holiday in Santiago, Chile. There were 2 guys who were apparently comedians surrounded by 150 people. They were going on and on in Spanish and I couldn't understand but the people were enjoying the show. Suddenly they see me (wearing a big, white captains hat for some reason) and they invite me into the middle of the show. I stand there for 5 minutes while they make jokes in Spanish and have the people in the audience ROLLING with laughter. I couldn't help but laugh too even though I understood very little. We took pictures together and it was all really fun

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to solve a rubik's cube, how to juggle, how to play chess
