CURRENT MISSION
Be wise and fearless.
ABOUT ME
In recent years, I have been trying to figure out who I am, what I could do to contribute to the betterment of society and hapiness of people I love.
To be honest, I'm half a nerd and half a bohemian. I am a hard-working designer, used to be a nerdy ametuer cook (I wrote some blog posts about testing recipes created by artifical intelligence, IBM's Chef Watson. --> www.daljiblog.wordpress.com) and an avid yogi. But I think it's about time to take a challenge to put myself in new environments, out of my comfort zone.
So I'm going to leave the corporate rat race for a while, and take a sabbatical year from 2018.
I'm thinking about visiting Southern Italy, France and Germany in Feb and March as a beginning.
I love talking with interesting and mindful people who have deep interests in humanity, technology, and design. I can share whatever I can give (thoughts, kindness, also I can cook for you) to hosts, and I'd like to share my invaluable moments during this trip with wonderful people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I heard about Couch surfing from the Taiwanese movie, Taipei exchanges, and joined this website from then but I haven't couchsurfed yet but have hosted guests at my place in Seoul.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My guests were one of the most interesting people whom I ever met in my life. They were well-educated, sociable and most of all, self-directed, and they inspired me a lot.
Interests
I might not get out of my nerdy or hard-working lifestyle for a while (I have been in the rat race for quite a while..) so I might be working or studying during my trip, but I would really love to spend my time with hosts having a coffee or beer, practicing yoga or meditating. Those are my favorite things in the world!

Music, Movies, and Books
Recently I'm reading books about psychology, history and social science.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I wrote some blog posts about testing recipes created by artificial intelligence, IBM's Chef Watson and I learned a great deal about cooking, healthy eating habits and a bit of machine learning. I think food and cooking is one the most important things in life, not only to live but also to be happy. I did not know anything about machine learning or technology behind the engine at the time I tested those recipes, but I'd like to know more about it and I'd like to create something similar with it by myself.
Teach, Learn, Share
As I have worked as a corporate designer for years, I can help you with some design works if you need. Also, I can cook some bizarre dishes for you you've never heard before.
