I currently study psychology at the University of Leuven, Belgium. I consider myself to be a progressive and open minded person. I love to learn new languages, at the moment I especially want to improve my English and French. I am new at chouchsurfing but am very excited to get to know it better . I don't consider myself to be a religious person but have all respect for people who are! During the holidays I am most of the time at home, that is in Poperinge (near the coast and French boarder). People think me to be easy-going and relaxed.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to meet new people to get to know their views and travel at the same time! As a future psychologist I think it is especially important to meet people of all walks of life and with different cultural backgrounds.

Interests

Besides psychology, my second love is music. I play the piano and sing in the Leuven University Choir. In the last couple of years I also developed a profound interest in opera. If you are planning to visit Belgium, the opera houses of Antwerps and Liege are much recommended. My favourite opera is Le nozze di Figaro by Mozart and Da Ponte. Art in general I like very much. In my spare time I also go jogging and do fitness, I also like cycling. My favorite drinks are a good glass of wine and cocktails. I work at the Leuven University Fund and therefore have an interest in charity fundraising.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love classical music and can listen to it all day long. Much loved composers are Chopin, Rachmaninov, Schumann and Mendelssohn. However, I like to discover new genres.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went sailing on the Masurian Lakeland in Poland with a half-Polish friend and his family two years ago. It was the most amazing experience as we discovered new places all the time with amazing views. Also I learned about Polish culture and it's amazing people.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to play the piano. I can also teach you some Dutch and French! As I am unable to cook properly, I hope to learn that! I hope to learn a lot about your country as well.
