ABOUT ME

I an a Cantonese living in Guangzhou. As my friends said, I am imaginable, friendly, easy-going and always attracted by adventurous and fresh things. Showing my treasure, my invaluable experience, is my favorite. With CS, I hope I can make friends with others over all and hear marvelous stories about the world. Training my mind much stronger and opening up my eyes are the most meaningful things for my trips. I am starting my first step to approach the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The first time I get to know CS was from my girlfriend (my wife now :p). She asked me to sign in and fill out the profile, then just enjoyed the trip.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Because of CS, my dream which is going all around China,and even the world comes true easier and faster then before.
First of all,when I were making my plan about traveling to Shanghai,I just had a try to send some CouchRequests. Fortunately, I've got some reply, with some of them accepting my request. So, that was my first time stay in another city with strangers(here means hosts).Frankly, I did enjoy that trip very much with my three hosts,Sofree,Nicky and Mikkle.Due to the workday, there was not so much time for Sofree to talk with me,however,I still found it interesting that there are loads of pictures and postcards on her wall. I hope I can get as many of them as her. Also, as soon as I arrived at Nicky and Mikkle's place,they were so hospitable that asked me to drink some cool tea to get more comfortable in such a hot summer,they then invited me to join their dinner,with some Dan dishes and Chinese cuisine.Awesome!Haha! So,apparently,I ended up finding traveling with this way interesting and exciting.

From then on,I sent loads of CouchRequests to hosts before I set off.Although I failed to find a host some times,I still found some couches for one of my trips.At that time,still Shanghai,haha,because it is fascinating. And the host I found was talkable and curious about my traveling experience,so we had a good conversation when we met. More over,I co-surfed with some foreigners in his place,that's awesome! Although we haven't held a party at home,we took many pictures together and shared the pizza. I then have been to Hangzhou,Suzhou,Wuxi and Wuhan in different provinces. And my hosts were from different countries,like China,America,Finland and Canada.When I got to a certain home of one of the hosts,I gave he or she a gift bought from my place,Guangzhou,it was so funny that all of them felt weird when I showed them the gift,but over all,we still had fun! What's more,the hosts would make some breakfast and dinner for me which made me feel warm and have a good sense of belongings.This trip was a great interaction of people from different countries with different cultures. And I learnt a lot at the end of the trip.

Teach, Learn, Share

During my trips,I learnt about European geography from Antti,the host in Wuxi. And came across a good idea with John about making a special dish,which consists of eggs,salt meat and carrot,looking like a kind of pizza.Also,shared some interesting experience with Nicky,Mikkle and Keith in Shanghai.Also, took photos with all the hosts and the co-surfers.
